Body Product Pre-Orders Now Available!
My lab is mixing ingredients, filling bottles, and printing labels as I type! I am SO excited to be launching 4 new body products in the next few weeks. You can preorder now and they will ship on arrival. Currently, I expect to have them in hand by early June. You can take a peek at the descriptions in my shop. Not Feeling Great? Please Reschedule!
A reminder to not come in for any treatment if you're not feeling well, even with a negative COVID test. The latest variants have had people testing negative even when symptomatic for a number of days before getting a positive rapid test. And hey, if it's not COVID, that's great, but I still don't want to catch whatever it is! I don't have the luxury of working from home, and a COVID diagnosis could have me closed for up to 2 weeks. Please help me stay open and healthy!!

Upcoming Out-Of-Office Dates
In just over a month, my schedule is going to get a little hectic. I'll be attending the International Esthetics, Cosmetics, & Spa Conference in Las Vegas at the end of June, and I have jury duty the week of July 4th, so my availability will be limited. Please plan your appointments and product orders accordingly.

• Out from June 25th through June 29th
• Out for jury duty July 5th through July 8th
• During jury duty, some evening appts will be available and of course, I will open my book if I get released. I'll be keeping a waiting list for anyone who wants to get in that week.

COVID-19
Starting today, the city of San Francisco has lifted the indoor mask mandate, and I wanted to clarify my policies going forward. Thanks for your understanding - these precautions have kept me COVID-free and allow me to avoid closure due to exposure.

• I require proof of vaccination (& booster) for all services
• I will continue to be masked for the duration of all services.
• My medical-grade air purifiers continue to hum 24-7.
• Please reschedule if you have ANY symptoms of illness, or have been exposed.

Front Door Access

• As some of you know - the front door access panel has not been functioning at 100%
• You can still dial *83, but Tuesday through Friday, when the security guard is at the desk you can also dial #67 and he will buzz you in from the desk.
• Of course, you can always text me and I'll pop down to get you! Hopefully, the whole system will be replaced soon. Thanks for your patience with this!

Retail Price Increase 2/18
Due to increased costs from suppliers and vendors, there will be a modest price increase for some retail products. This goes into effect on Friday, so head over to shop.jjodar.com to stock up before then!

FAQs
Can I share a membership?
Sorry, memberships are for individuals only. You can, however, “gift” a limited number of treatments each year. (See The Fine Print below)

Do I have to start in January?
Nope. Your membership can start on any day of the year and will go for one year.

What if we go into lockdown again?
If that were to happen, all memberships would be put on “pause” until reopening is allowed.

What if the appointment time I want isn’t available?
Appointments are subject to availability (first come, first served) which is why I recommend a standing appointment. I will only be accepting a limited number of memberships to ensure high-demand times are available to members.

What if I already have a package?
Current outstanding packages will be honored for 2 years from the date of purchase (as they always have been) before returning to the cash value. Just reach out if you’d like clarification on your package expiration date! 

How do I sign up?
Just let me know at your next appointment and we’ll get you signed up!

The Fine Print

• Appointments are subject to availability. I highly recommend a standing appointment!  
• Appointments are subject to my 48-hour cancellation policy - no shows or cancellations inside of 48 hours will be considered a redeemed appointment.
• Can’t make it in? I get it, life happens. Priority members can “gift” up to two treatments (Maintenance members can “gift” one) to anyone you wish. These treatments must be booked and performed before the expiration/renewal date of your membership. Inside of 48 hours, a treatment cannot be “gifted”, unless they take your originally scheduled slot.

 Happy Holidays!!

What can I say? What a year. It's hard to believe my business was not even open until March last spring! Between mandatory closures and my shoulder surgery I honestly feel like this year has been a bit of a blur.

However, I am looking forward to some new things in 2022! The State of California is changing the scope of practice for Estheticians for the first time since 1978. (Yeah, you read that right.) I'm looking into some training on new modalities and potentially adding some exciting new services. I'm also hoping to bring on some new products, and I'll be launching a new facial membership option in January! Stay tuned for all the details on that!

Since some of you have asked, the answer is yes, I am taking new clients again. Covid-19 has definitely thinned the ranks, so if you have friends, family, or colleagues who are in need of some professional skin care, send them my way! I promise to take great care of them.

My sincerest thanks to all of you for your ongoing support of my small business, I would never have made it through the last 2 years without you. I'm so humbled and extraordinarily thankful.

Happy Thanksgiving!

 Happy Thanksgiving! I know that we're all inundated with emails right now but I wanted to send out a quick update before the holiday.

My recovery from shoulder surgery is going exceptionally well!  I have an amazing rehab team (Joel & Olive) and I'm right on target to be back in the treatment room in December. Thank you so much to all of you who have been checking in and checking on me, I've been having all the feels from your texts and notes and emails.

Holiday Season Appointments
It's that time of year! A few reminders for this busy season.

• Plan ahead! I only have a handful of appointments left in 2021, so book now.
• If you prebook, please put it on your calendar. Over 90% of my clients pre-book so when clients cancel 2-3 days before their appointment, odds are that appt. sits empty, even though I've turned folks away in the weeks leading up to it.
• Plan on a little extra time to get your appointment. The city is planning on restricting car access around Union Square. Late arrivals change the starting time of your treatment, but not the ending time out of respect to the next scheduled client.
• Don't wait to place your online product orders. The USPS delivery slowdowns are real, and combined with the holidays will mean packages may take longer to arrive.
• Cancellation Policy: I respectfully require 48 hours cancellation notice for all appointments to avoid the full-service charge.
• Breathe! This year it looks like we'll be back to an almost normal holiday season, so come in and relax and enjoy!
