 Did I blink and miss March? Somehow it's April! I had an amazing, but bittersweet trip down to UCLA last month for part 3 of my skincare ingredients course. My teacher and mentor is retiring and leaving the country. I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to learn from her for over 20 years. Once again, we had so much material we couldn't get to it all, so there will be 6 more hours taught online over the next few months. Over in my professional-facing business, it's also been non-stop! I launched webinars for esthetic professionals 2 weeks ago, and am heading to North Carolina to lead a breakout session at an esthetic retreat in early May. My out-of-office dates for booking and product orders are below. Finally, an update about the elephant in the room ~ tariffs. My sincerest thanks for your continued support of my small business!

What's Going On with Tariffs?
A lot of you are asking me about this! The situation seems to be changing every few days, which is making it hard for me and all of my vendors to project costs. Here's what I know:

• The cost of everything is going up. Despite over 85% of my product offerings being manufactured in the States, ingredient sourcing is global, and many packaging components are not produced here at all. Changes to that will take years, not months.
• I will always be completely transparent about price increases, giving you time to purchase before they go into effect.
• I am doing my best to "stock up", but there is a limit to how much I can bring on board for retail and backbar to ensure not only that product doesn't sit, but what is financially viable for my small business.
• There will be no blanket increase in product prices, it will always be on a case-by-case basis.

• I'm opening up a small number of memberships at the current pricing structure. If you see me regularly, a membership is a fantastic way to save money on both treatments and products! All the details are here. Please note: memberships show as full on my website, as I'm only offering this to those of you on my list. Wow, what a year it’s been! On the professional front, things have been an absolute whirlwind. I published my new book, Skinthesis, launched a consulting business tailored to estheticians, and brought my skincare practice back to pre-pandemic levels. To call it "busy" feels like an understatement—but honestly, all this craziness has been fulfilling beyond words.

I feel incredibly lucky and grateful to have a career that I love and clients who inspire me every day. Whether you’re savoring the holiday magic or just trying to make it through the season, know that I’m cheering for you. Here’s to an amazing holiday season and an even better 2025!

You know me—I’m all about customization, so I don’t usually recommend gifting skincare unless you know exactly what someone uses. That said, here are a few universally great ideas for pretty much anyone with skin:

Plans for 2025!
Here’s what’s on my radar for the new year:

• Back to School: I’ll be heading to UCLA in February for Part 3 of Rebecca Gadberry’s legendary Skincare Ingredient course. There was so much to cover that she had to add a third section!

• Website Refresh: A little digital facelift (see what I did there?) is in the works—especially for the mobile version. Stay tuned for updates!

• Product Updates: A few favorite formulas are getting enhancements to make them better than ever.

• Skin & Nutrition: I’ve been diving into the fascinating links between skin conditions, nutrition, and gut health. In 2025, I hope to pursue formal training in this area to expand my knowledge and be an even better resource for you.

Cold, Flu & Covid Season!

Am I alone in feeling like it's perpetual cold & Covid season these days? Just a reminder, please reschedule your appointment if you have any active signs of illness when your confirmation arrives. I do not enjoy charging for last-minute cancellations one bit! Thanks for understanding that if I get sick, I have to close and as an owner/operator, I don't have paid sick days. I still mask in the treatment room and have my air purifiers humming to do my part to keep us all healthy this holiday season!
